Eileen M. Wilson, PhD, is a faculty member at Michigan State University and has led the MSU for 33 years, including two years as a special assistant in the office of the president and board of trustees, as associate dean of basic education at the Broad College of Business, and on numerous academic committees. She holds a Master`s degree in Philosophy, a Master`s degree in Labour and Labour Relations and a Doctorate in University and University Administration. Dr Wilson has over 30 years of HR/LR experience, has taught labour relations at SSM for over 15 years and teaches an annual study abroad programme in St Andrews, Scotland. Participants participate in a simulated exercise based on a case developed exclusively for this program. The exercise will encourage you to solve complex problems and use your negotiation skills learned as a member of a team, while negotiating a pioneering deal that will bring a competitive advantage. This program has a comprehensive and unique framework that identifies the multiple links between collective bargaining strategies and human, corporate and business resource management strategies. By combining interest-based and classical approaches to negotiation, you will learn the essential tactical processes and decisions that underpin the most important steps in negotiating agreements. Robert Chiaravalli, Esq., is known for his expertise in designing and implementing strategies in labour and labour relations, compensation and benefits, international HR, alternative dispute resolution and specialized executive research that improve the profitability and efficiency of people`s employment. As the founder and operator of Strategic Labor & Human Resources, LLC, he brings nearly thirty years of experience in union and non-union stores.

Prior to the establishment of his consulting and law firm, Mr. Chiaravallis included work for the Solidarity House Research Department (UAW), Big Government (NLRB) and Big Business (CHRO & Chief Labor / Employment Counsel). M. Chiaravalli earned a bachelor`s degree in economics from the University of Michigan, a master`s degree from Cornell University Graduate School of Industrial and Labor Relations, and a juris doctor from Suffolk University Law School. In addition, during his law studies, he completed the negotiation program at Harvard Law School, the 40-hour training for mediators by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE), and continuing education for merc arbitrators, mediators, and fact-inventors…
